About Libby

Black and white artistic illustration of two women in profile facing opposite ways, with a large ornate floral design above them and mirrored reflections creating a symmetrical pattern.

Libby has been attending births for over a decade.

She began her journey in maternal health as a Certified Nursing Assistant before becoming a birth doula, where her passion for midwifery quickly took root. She graduated from the Midwives College of Utah in 2019, completing more than 3,000 hours of clinical training alongside her academic studies.

Her clinical experience included working with a small, rural home birth practice on the Oregon Coast as well as Treasure Valley Midwives, a birth center and home birth practice in Boise, Idaho. After graduation, Libby earned her Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) credential and completed a year-long fellowship with Treasure Valley Midwives.

She went on to practice at The Birth Center in Salt Lake City for three years before transitioning to a slower-paced home birth model of care.

Libby maintains licensure in order to offer a broader scope of services, including access to certain medications and medical equipment. She is also experienced in and supportive of VBAC and HBAC births.
